Why should I buy CDs instead of downloading my music?
We believe that there are several compelling reasons why purchasing CDs remains the best way to buy music:

it gives you complete freedom to use your music in any format and with any equipment you elect; |

you get a permanent copy of the music that can't be lost to computer or hard drive crashes or to destruction from virus attack; |

Will my credit card be handled securely?
All credit card transactions with RRC are handled
by PayPal,
one of the most widely used and trusted companies in the industry.
PyPal is used (and owned) by EBay and by many of the most important internet
commerce sites. Your personal financial data is never shared with
RRC by PayPal, but is maintained by PayPal at your direction and
control according to their strict procedures and guidelines.

"The security of your information, transactions, and money
is the core of our business and our top priority at PayPal.
PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit
from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol
(SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level
commercially available). Before you even register or log in to our
site, our server checks that you're using an approved browser -
one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher.
Once your information reaches us, it resides on a server that is
heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Our servers
sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected
to the Internet, so your private information is available only to
authorized computers."

Will my personal information be shared with others?
Not unless you authorize us to. RRC has a strict
PRIVACY POLICY. We will never give or sell your information to another
company without your permission.
How does RONALD select CDs for the Club?
RONALD scours the market for new releases in the
Club's musical categories and reviews them very carefully. No selections will
ever be made for any reason other than that RONALD sincerely believes
the CD to be of great musical merit, and one that he truly believes
you will enjoy. While RONALD from time to time may select a CD recorded
by an artist or producer or record label with whom he has or has
had some kind of professional relationship, he will never make such
a selection merely because of that relationship. The integrity of
the selection process is the cornerstone of RRC.
What is the difference between RRC and the other record clubs?
There are many. First of all, RRC is a grassroots
business started by an individual - RONALD - and is not part of
some large corporation. Second, our selections will always be a function
of real musical taste and judgment rather than being part of some
promotional campaign waged by a record label. Most importantly,
RRC will be able to send its members brand new releases that have
been purchased from record labels and distributors at normal rates.
This means that the recording artists and producers and songwriters
will receive the same royalties from CDs sold through RRC as they
receive for CDs sold through music stores or other on-line sources.
Most major record clubs operate very differently.
Why aren't there more choices of musical categories?
The key to RRC is that the musical selections
RONALD makes are based upon his confidence that
his musical taste is similar to that of most people who enjoy
the same kinds of music. The musical categories offered by RRC are thus
the ones in which he has the most experience. Other categories
may be added in the future.
What if I receive a CD from RRC that I already own?
Simply return the unopened CD to RRC in the same
packaging it came in, using the label provided on the shipping
document you will receive, and we will ship to you a different CD from the same musical
category.
What if I receive a CD that I don't like?
RONALD will do his best to send out CDs that he
believes all of the Club members will love. However, we recognize
that music appreciation is a subjective matter and that it is possible
that occasionally a Club member may not like a particular CD he
or she receives. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns
of opened CDs. Hopefully, this will not occur very often. Also,
you may find that on further listening you will enjoy at least parts
of the CD, if not every song. Ultimately, if you find that this
happens often, and you decide that you do not like RONALD's choices,
you may quit the Club at any time with no further obligation.
Will all CDs I receive be new releases?
Most CDs selected for the Club will be albums that
have been released within the past year or two. Some, particularly in the jazz genre,
may be classic albums that have recently been remastered and reissued using the latest
audio technology. However, RONALD
is aware that there are many terrific CDs that have been released
over the past several years that did not receive the attention or
distribution that they deserved. There are so many undiscovered
gems out there. So occasionally RONALD will send you a CD
from these "archives". As usual, if you own it already, you
can simply return it and RONALD will replace it with something else.
What are the shipping and handling costs that I will be charged for?
This charge covers, as closely as possible, the
actual packaging and shipping costs incurred by RRC.
The amount is as follows:
For shipments within the U.S.:
for 1 CD - $2.25
for 2 CDs - $3.50
for 3 or more CDs - $4.00
For shipments to Canada/Mexico:
for 1 CD - $3.25
for 2 CDs - $5.20
for 3 or more CDs - $6.00
For shipments to other countries:
for 1 CD - $7.00
for 2 or more CDs - $10.00
