It works! I've been enjoying Paul Brady for the past few weeks -
kind of cross between Sting and David Gray. This is something that I never would have looked for in a store or ordered. Good job. |

I've never before sent a group email on behalf of a third party.
A good friend and an extraordinarily knowledgeable "music guy" I know just started a service that really works for me and, I hope, will for you too.
The web site explains it all
but in a nutshell... I tell him the categories of music I tend to like, and once a month he sends me a CD from that genre. He's two for two with me. I've received two CD's by artists
I'd never heard of, and each one is terrific. I love music but it's been years since I've known what's current or who are the emerging artists. Take a look and check out the website. |

Ron -
This is a thank-you for years of musical pleasure you
have given me (and my family). Having a friend and neighbor in the music business who has taken the time to share a cutting edge PhD level insider's view of what's new and exciting in a
field I have little access to has made new music accessible. I have come to rely on your lists as a prerequisite for visiting record shops. The music I come home with (I buy virtually all
of your choices) has an 80% hit ratio to my ear, and amazingly, perhaps a 90% appreciation ratio for my teenagers! You have cross generational taste, my friend!
Please keep the lists
coming. |

Can you believe that for several years I thought Dave Matthews was just a
local pub band? Pretty lame, isn't it?
No, I don't know much about music - and nothing - nada, zip -- about new music. Yet, I love listening to music. What's a body to do? The simple solution?
Ask Ronald! I admit I've had an advantage because Ronald's been a friend and acts as my personal music tutor. He has a pretty good sense about what kind of music I'll tap my foot to or weep over but
he still throws a curve ball or two into my Christmas, Birthday or Mother's Day listening package. This year it was Susan Tedeschi. Thank you Ronald for introducing me to Lyle, Randy Newman, Caetano
Veloso, Lucinda Williams, Cesaria Evora and the Blue Nile . |

Radio playlists make me crazy. Hours of listening and I
hear maybe one song I can relate to. Commercial websites
push only their big sellers and magazine reviews just cover
the top ten lists. So, how's a person supposed to find new music they'd love? That's where Ronald comes to my rescue.
Thanks to him I'm diversifying my own playlists and finding new music and artists that I love. |

When I was younger, I used to enjoy shopping for music....but
that was before music stores became mega superstores. Somehow I lost the feel when shopping for music became on par with shopping at the home improvement warehouse. I never lost my
love of music, but I did lose the relationship I felt in my neighborhood music store.
Fortunately, I have Ronald. He's been turning me on to great music for years.
Now , with Ronald's Record Club, I not only get to enjoy new music every month, but the element of surprise brings even more fun than I imagined. Ronald never fails to
hit a home run combining my love for new sounds with the occasional old favorite I might have missed . He always seems to get it right.
For me, this is the only way to go.
Thank you Ronald. Finally I get something to look forward to when checking the mail. I can't wait for next month's surprise. |
